Granola & granola bars Recipe
5 c. rolled oats
1/3 c. canola oil
1 1/4 c. sugar (any kind)
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. water
1 c. nuts
Mix oats and oil, then add syrup made from sugar, vanilla, and water. Stir in nuts last. Spread into pan, bake 350 (I think) for 20 minutes, then stirring every 10 minutes.

Granola bars
1 ¾ cups old-fashioned oats or quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon fine sea salt (if using regular table salt, scale back a bit)
2 cups mix-ins* (nuts, seeds, chocolate, shredded coconut or dried fruit)
1 cup creamy peanut butter or almond butter
½ cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/4 cup (26g) coconut oil
- 1/4 cup sugar (50g) heated and dissolved in 1/4 cup water (59g) w splash vanilla (slow cooker)
- 1/4 cup sugar (50g) heated and dissolved in 2 tbsp water (30g) w splash vanilla (stovetop)
Slow cooker. Cook on high in slow cooker with lid cracked open for 3 hours, stirring every 20 minutes. Can add 1/2 cup raisins.
Stovetop. Add oats to skillet and cook over medium heats 3-4 minutes until toasted. Mix together with other ingredients.
